Change the Height of Your Workbench / Potting Table

Your workbench, Jewellers bench or potting table will be supplied to you at 90cm (900mm) in height, this is a standard kitchen worktop height.

Options are for lower or higher.

There are a number of suggestions about working out the optimum height and it also will depend on what you are using your bench for. For close-up or precision work you may want it higher but for planing, it might be more comfortable lower.

A good starting point is: Stand upright in your usual working footwear. Measure from the ground to your wrist. Adjust this measurement depending on the work envisaged or if you are still growing.
